It’s funny because I have always been a very personable and confident person. Even when I was younger, I had a lot of energy and ambition. But I always had a very soft spot for what was going on around me. I always loved being a part of a team, especially one for which I was already involved. I would walk in and it was like a little scene from a movie.
What you might not know is that you’re in an elite military unit. The people who do the grunt work are the elite. Not everyone gets to be the best. Some of the people who make us heroes are the bad guys, and some of the people who make us villains are the good guys. In a way, I feel like it is a constant battle for us to be the good guys all the time.
Of course, part of this is just because I’m usually the one being the bad guy. The rest of it is a result of the fact that I’m the only one who cares. Sure, I’d like to be the one who does the bad stuff, but not everyone else has the same idea. I would like to be the one who sacrifices myself to save the others, but I can’t do it. I’m a hero, but I’m not good enough.
I was one of those people who always thought I was good. Then I realized how foolish that was. I was so busy trying to be the good guy, that I forgot just how bad Im really are. I was so busy trying to be the good guy, that I became selfish. It’s all about the good guys.
