I was born in India in 1961, but my birth date was 1969. I have always been a curious person, so I have always wanted to know something about myself, especially with respect to my ancestry. I started searching for my family tree online and through my travels, I realized that I have both a Chinese and a British father. It was as interesting as it was confusing, and I was determined to find the answers.
The first thing that I found out about myself was that I’m half-Black, half-Caucasian, and half-Indian. I was also in the habit of getting confused by people. But that was about to change. When I was in the 8th grade in India, I found another family that didn’t seem to know anything about their ancestry and assumed that I was of mixed European/Black African and Indian descent.
I am actually half-white, half-Caucasian, and half-Indian, but I can also be a few different things at once. And that was the beginning of my real discovery: the vastness of the Indian subcontinent is only one thing.
The Indian subcontinent is one of the most beautiful and diverse places on Earth, but it is also one of the most diverse places on Earth, and that diversity can be found in the country’s people. Not only are there many different languages spoken in India, but the people also have a wide variety of ethnicities within the Indian subcontinent.
