I love that she takes the time to write these long blog posts that give us the inside scoop on the latest happenings in the world of construction. One thing that I am always happy to see is that she makes the reader feel like this is a real person, and you can trust her. I hope you find the information that she shares to be interesting and informative.
With all the changes in the industry over the past five years, it’s always nice to see a person that knows their stuff. That being said, I think her articles are one of the most informative, interesting, and entertaining that I’ve encountered. She is also very well-organized, even if she does tend to get a little too in-depth at times.
I usually look at the website for the first time at this point and wonder why she keeps saying “Hey! How’s it going?” I look at all the books on the website, and if I’m reading this, I wonder if the author is a real person or a fake. I’ve read everything she writes, and I’m not really sure what it’s all about.
The website is a blog, so if she is a real person, she’s probably real. I don’t read her articles, so I’m not sure. But I do read a lot of her books, and if I were to take a guess, I’d say she’s a pretty smart and determined person. She tends to be very focused on getting the info she needs and putting it on the page as quickly as possible, and being willing to do a little bit of research when necessary.
This is an excellent article about the three levels of self-awareness. It provides a quick analysis of what self-discipline does to a person and how it functions. The key point is that self-discipline is necessary for the ability to keep up with the other person’s needs, so the self-aware person will have an advantage over the non-aware person. In this case, self-discipline is also important to the ability to keep up with other people’s needs.
This is a very great article and I’m glad I stumbled across it. I’ve always been interested in the psychology behind self-awareness, and this is one of the best articles I have ever read. I’ll be adding it to my daily read every time I feel like I need some self-awareness.
I agree with you that maintaining a healthy self-awareness is something that we all need to do. But as a general rule, people without self-awareness are less likely to be able to keep up with the demands of a day, so it’s important to have it. I also agree that our actions and emotions can be controlled, so it’s helpful to have a certain level of self-awareness.
I agree with you that if you have a healthy level of self-awareness, it’s not a bad idea to maintain it. But I think you’re missing the point that we need self-awareness in other areas of our lives, as well.
Self-awareness is a form of self-management, or at least it is for me. For all those times I’ve felt that I’m being unreasonable, I know we need to take a look in the mirror to see just how bad I am. Self-awareness is certainly a prerequisite for any sort of self-management.
In that last paragraph, laura lee ball is referring to a time when we are in the “moment of self-awareness.” I’m not talking about the act of self-awareness, I’m talking about actually acting on our self-awareness. We need to be self-aware of our behavior and take a look in the mirror to see just how bad we are. Self-awareness is critical for any sort of self-management.
