Here’s the thing though: I’m not sure if raya.ru should be a social network of Russian-speaking women or men. I don’t think the app is any better for it, but maybe it should be for women. Maybe it should be for only women. It should be for everyone, regardless of what language they speak or what their ethnic background is. But no. Because I am Russian, it should be for me.
I have to say I am very excited to get this app. I love the concept of it, as well as the idea of it being a social network for the Russian-speaking female population. That is, it should be a social network for Russian-speaking women, but it should be a social network for women in general. I also really love the idea of it being a social network for the Russian-speaking male population.
Well, I guess, if it’s a social network for Russian-speaking women it should be a social network for Russian-speaking women, period. But it should be for Russian-speaking men. Because I am not a Russian-speaking woman, I’m going to have to find a place where I can speak Russian.
To be fair, at the time of writing raya.ru isn’t really a social network for women specifically, it’s more of a social network for women in general. But it will be a social network for Russian-speaking women, and a social network for Russian-speaking men. But if it is just a social network for Russian-speaking women, then it must also be a social network for Russian-speaking men.
As with most Russian social networks, raya.ru is aimed at Russian-speaking people. Its not aimed specifically at women, its not aimed specifically at men, and its not aimed specifically at Russians. But if it isn’t aimed specifically at Russians, then it must be primarily aimed at Russian-speaking people of any particular nationality.
