Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is the man who led India into the world. The man who changed India and the world.
The man born in 1891, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was India’s first Prime Minister. He was also the first Prime Minister to win three separate national elections (1932, 1935, and 1937). The man who built the first Indian highway. The man who was India’s first prime minister to sign an autograph in a movie. The man who is the oldest living Indian to have a passport. The man who is widely considered to have been the greatest Indian to ever live.
Sardar Patel, also known as Viceroy of India, was born in 1891. He took up the post of Prime Minister of India in the same year. In 1938, he was elected as the Prime Minister of India for a second time. He was the first Indian Prime Minister to die of natural causes. He was also the first Indian Prime Minister to be awarded the Padma Vibhushan and the second Indian Prime Minister to be elected to Parliament.
It’s really no surprise that the most famous Indian politician in the world, Srinivasaheb Rana, actually gave birth to the first Indian man to be elected to Parliament. He was a popular figure in the Indian parliament, and during a time when he was the chief of the government, he was the first Indian Prime Minister to be conferred the Padma Vibhushan.
The Padma Vibhushan is bestowed on a person by the Padma Vibhushan Academy, an organization that is a part of the British Indian government that awards honorary degrees to persons who have rendered outstanding services to the nation. So Srinivasaheb Rana was a person who had rendered outstanding service to the nation.
Rana was the Prime Minister of an independent country, and thus was able to receive the Padma Vibhushan. He was the first Indian PM to receive the Padma Vibhushan (and the first Prime Minister to be conferred the Padma Vibhushan), and that’s saying something. But that’s not what these two things have in common.
As I mentioned earlier, Rana had a problem with the government’s decision to award him the Padma Vibhushan. He wanted to take it out of the hands of the Prime Minister who was the highest ranking civilian in the army and who was also the highest ranking officer in the army.
In the end, the Padma Vibhushan went to the Prime Minister, and the Prime Minister got the whole thing. The Padma Vibhushan says that we are all of us equal and should be treated as such. And to reinforce this, it says that the idea of the Padma Vibhushan was to recognise the contributions made by every individual in the Indian armed forces.
It’s quite easy to understand why the Padma Vibhushan was taken out. It’s a little surprising that the Padma Vibhushan didn’t get to do the full job of doing it until a few years later, but it’s also quite natural that the Padma Vibhushan didn’t get to do it until the end of the game.
Thats true. In fact, the only Indian person in the game who isn’t involved in the Indian armed forces is Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
