I have to disagree with arun, and say that he is not doing a good job of doing this. First, arun has a tendency to underestimate (when he is not doing it himself), and also to have a tendency to overestimate (when he is). This is particularly evident in the first part of the estimate, which is in the form of a number that is supposed to be a “guideline” that he will follow.
This is a very common problem with arun. He thinks that he is doing everything well, when in fact he is doing too much. He has a tendency to underestimate the amount of money he needs to spend, and overestimate the amount of money he needs to save.
