We have just begun to learn about the three levels of awareness. We are learning to notice our surroundings, to understand our environments, and to be aware of ourselves. The question we have been asked is whether, by the end of the summer, we have mastered the first level of awareness. We are about to find out. I am about to teach you about the second level of awareness. This is the level of awareness where you are fully aware of yourself.
Our awareness of ourselves is what allows us to take in the outside world, to see the world from afar and to be aware of our surroundings. The other two layers of awareness are much more mundane and much less important. The first layer of awareness is the awareness that you have in your own body. For example, you have your eyes focused intently on the world. You are aware that you have a body. In other words, you are aware of yourself.
The second layer of awareness is much less important for most people. It’s important for people like doctors and lawyers, and people who work with computers, but it’s less important for the average Joe. In fact, to most people it’s very boring. It’s the lowest level of awareness because it’s not as important as the first layer of awareness.
The point here is that when we are aware of our own body, we are also aware of our bodies. So when we are aware of our eyes, we are aware that our eyes are there. When we are aware of our ears, we are aware that our ears are there. When we are aware of our fingers, we are aware that our fingers are there. We are aware of our body, so when we are aware of our mind, we are also aware of our mind.
This is why we need to take care of our minds and bodies. We need to take care of our minds to have a good mental state. We need to take care of our bodies to have a good physical state. We can’t be in a good mental or physical state when we are not aware of our bodies, our minds, or our surroundings. At the very least, we should take care of our bodies to make sure we’re not unconscious.
In recent years, we have seen a growing trend toward using our smartphones as our phones. I know, I know, I’m looking at me. I’m not a fan. I don’t care if you can tell I’m not a fan, I just don’t like the trend. People are getting more and more reliant on these newfangled devices and I don’t think it’s healthy.
Just because the smartphone has created this disconnect between what we are doing and why we are doing it, doesn’t make it a bad thing. We are still very much alive and still very dependent on our smartphones. But I have to ask, are we seriously suggesting that our lives be disconnected from what we are doing? I doubt it.
I think most of us agree that the smartphone is a great convenience for us, but we also know that too much of our lives is now driven by it. For example, the iPhone is a great tool for getting around, but that is not the only thing it does for us. It makes it easy to listen to music, take pictures and view HD video, and all of those things are just as useful as before.
Yes, because phones are also great as an audio-video camera or for watching movies, but that’s not the only reason we carry them. In addition to these other uses, iPhones have become a necessity in our lives because of their ease of use. From the iPhone to the Galaxy S, it’s now so easy to go from point A to point B, from point A to point C, etc. That’s what makes it so great.
It might not seem like much, but to the people who carry the iPhone, it’s easy and convenient. Even if you don’t intend to buy the phone, you can use it like a dumbbell or a golf club. Thats what makes it so great.
